Really bad stabbing pain?

im 20weeks pregnant and theres a really bad stabbing pain but its not near that part of my tummy, its on the left side about 2-3 inches above my belly on, i have been eating quite a few sweets today, blackjacks in-particular. this pains been there for a few hours now, could it be off the sweets?
