A Teen Starting Back-country Skiing?

Hi, I am 17 years old and starting back-country skiing. I have taken avalanche courses and first aid, Have and am comfortable with the gear, and have buddies who are stoked as well. One thing i don't have is a pair of touring skis. I have Rossi S7s with normal DH bindings. I was wondering if i swapped some touring bindings on the S7s would they be too heavy for day tours around Whistler? and if so what is the best binding to buy?
